As Chris asked..... Here is a list of Parrot Movies. That is to say, movies featuring parrots rather than movies that might appeal to parrots.

1. The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill (2003) USA. A down-and-out artist rediscovers the meaning of life through the healing power of parrots.

2. Romancing the Stone (1984) USA. Soldier of fortune, Michael Douglas, ekes out a living smuggling parrots out of Columbia until he meets Kathleen Turner who manages to change his ways. There may be some other plot in there as well.

3. The Ladykillers (1955) UK. A gang of incompetent thugs use the house of Mrs Wilberforce as a base for their bank heist. They are confounded in their aims by this feisty parrot-owner. Nominated for several oscars and voted the 39th greatest film of all time(?)

4. Peter Pan (2003) USA/UK. A gang of pre-adolescent boys terrorise a marine vessel containing a parrot. Contains scenes of parrot being terrorised.

5. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) USA. A parrot becomes entangled in a messy plot about sailing off the map. Not sure how this one ends up.

6. Paulie (1998) USA. A parrot is kidnapped and brought to a government laboratory where it is subjected to various experiments and torture until it is finally released by the janitor.

7. The Psychic Parrot (1977) Can. A psychic parrot predicts the world will end at midnight. While all the worlds greatest scientist and politicians are sent to the moon an ordinary suburban couple celebrate with a private party at home. At midnight the parrot confesses it must have been mistaken while in the background one can see the moon exploding. Har har har!

8. William Buys a Parrot (1963) USA. Author William S Burroughs buys a parrot.

9. Aladdin (1992) USA. A parrot becomes enmeshed in a web of deceit and treachery. Contains the words "Open Sesame" which inspired Miss Piggy.

10. Doctor Dolittle (1967) USA. A parrot instruct veterinary surgeon, Dr John Dolittle, on linguistic techniques so as to improve human-animal communications. The Doctor abuses this power and forces animals to take him on adventures.

WOW - that is the most extensive and parrot-centric list of movies and plot descriptions I have ever seen. Bravo!

Thank you. My next task is to do a list of movies that might appeal to parrots.

I haven't seen any. Maybe I did but that was a long time and I'm forgetting the tittle. Can anyone bring me to the page where I can watch any of the above listed parrot movies.

Thanks,
Carmel
